Data Journeys has produced something that is a first for recruitment, and specifically for the Salesforce CRM and Salesforce Marketing Cloud sector.

When businesses are planning their budgets for hiring, or people are trying to understand what salary they should look for in their next career move, they often use a salary guide or salary survey for help. These are often released by recruitment agencies, or industry bodies.

Data Journeys can provide you with the most accurate tool for this, helping companies and people within the Salesforce and Salesforce Marketing Cloud areas. The difference comes down to how the information is gathered:

Salary Guide

A salary guide is generally exactly what the words mean. A guide. Quite often this is a salary range given to a position based on the opinions of someone working in the field they are commenting on. This is certainly something we at Data Journeys can produce, however this is is an educated opinion, often quite broad and not based on factual live data.

Salary Survey

This is often data based on a survey undertaken by whoever produced the guide. Questions are sent out to be filled out by individuals. This naturally includes the question on positions, and salary. Now the answer given is totally left up to the interpretation of the individual. Quite often it is filled out by the person on the role and salary they want to have to make a move, this results in the answer often being inflated. This affects the data that is gathered and does not show a true representation of the market.

Salary Report

What you can obtain from Data Journeys is based on factual data. Following numerous consultations by phone and over coffee with skilled Salesforce and Marketing Automation professionals/hirers in the market. We have categorised people into the positions that they are capable of and want to do (roles are explained within the report) and have also discussed their minimum salary expectations for their next role (this is based on conversations around current salary and realistic expectations in the market). These results are displayed graphically by geography and experience.
